When David had a fainting spell on Christmas Eve, he was rushed to the local emergency room, where doctors suspected he may have cancer. David and his family arrived at St. Jude the very next day, and tests confirmed David suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer. He began treatment immediately.
“I don’t know where our family would be without St. Jude,” said David’s mom. “The staff has been wonderful and completely understanding. We haven’t had to worry about anything.”
David’s cancer is now in remission and he visits to St. Jude monthly for chemotherapy. David loves to play video games and ride his bike.
