A golf outing doesn’t usually kick off at a baseball field, but that’s what happened when East Coast Energy Group honored Kids for Kids at the September 28th Mets home game – just days before their company outing.
Before the game, Kids for Kids Committee Member and Event Organizer Lenny Knief presented a check for $50,000 to fellow Paul Lombardozzi of the Kids for Kids Board, Suzanne Karath of the Kids for Kids Development & Events Team, and the Correra Sisters, Ava & Lia, of the Kids for Kids Junior Committee. Also in attendance were 30 other members of the Committee and Junior Committee who thoroughly enjoyed a night out at the ballpark, despite the Mets loss.
The money presented was raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as part of the 2nd Annual East Coast Energy Golf Classic.
Held on October 1st at The Muttontown Club in East Norwich, NY, more than 140 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the course, which included games such as Par 3 Poker, Beat the Pro, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin.
Following the 18 holes, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the outside terrace, where laughter could be heard from guests being mesmerized by the slight-of-hand talents of Mentalist Matthew Furman.
Thank you to East Coast Energy Group, Lenny Knief, all the golfers and dinner guests, and to the Kids for Kids Committee Members and East Coast Energy volunteers who assisted throughout the day – the event could not have been such a success without you all!
